Working with me
Coaching for your child. Support for you.
Most families start with one and end up doing a bit of both. Either way, it starts with a free 15-minute call.
For your child
1:1 mental performance coaching
Sessions teach your child the mental side of sport, using evidence-based techniques from sport and exercise psychology. Everything is built around their age, stage and sport.
- Focus under pressure. Managing attention and decisions in the big moments.
- Confidence that lasts. Self-belief that isn't shaken by one bad shot, game or round.
- Emotional control. Noticing what's happening in their body and resetting quickly.
- Perspective. Wanting to improve while still enjoying it.
- Life outside sport. Knowing who they are when they're not training or competing.
Good for young athletes who get anxious or frustrated in competition, struggle to move on from mistakes, or are starting to feel like sport is all they are.
For you
Parent sessions
You don't need to become an expert in the mental side of sport. You need a few things to say, a few things to stop saying, and a clear idea of your role. 1:1, or as a small group with other families.
- What to say after a loss, and what to save for later.
- How to support your child without becoming another coach.
- Spotting when sport has become their whole identity, and what to do about it.
- Adjusting your role as they move up, change pathways and eventually step away, so your relationship grows with them.
- Being honest about the time and money you're putting in, and what you want it to buy.
- The four moves from my parents talk, applied to your family.
Good for parents who know "toughen up" won't work but haven't been shown anything else.
How it runs

Questions parents ask
- Is this therapy?
- No. I'm a mental performance coach, not a psychologist. If your child needs clinical support, I'll tell you and help you find the right person.
- Which sports do you work with?
- Any. The skills carry across sports. A lot of my work so far has been with junior golfers.
- What ages?
- Roughly 8 to 18. Younger children usually get more from parent sessions.
- Do I sit in on my child's sessions?
- You can if you'd like to. There's no right or wrong. Some kids talk more freely one-to-one, others like having you there. We'll work out what suits your child, and I'll keep you in the loop either way.
- Where are sessions?
- In person in Sydney, or online.
